Accurate Montel Williams Health Master Review

By

If you have been up late at night, you probably have seen the informercials about his newest product, but I would like to provide you with an Accurate Montel Williams Health Master Review. This product has been heavily promoted as “more than a blender” and that it literally pulverizes fruits and vegetables – as well as concrete. Along with the purchase, you are told that you will receive bonus recipe books and an eating plan. Its claim to fame is that it replaces dozens of kitchen appliances that it “assumes” everyone has in their household.

For me the most eye catching quality was that it created juices that were healthy and delicious. I already own a well known, brand name juicer and it is very difficult to clean, so when I saw the infomercials I thought that this product would be a much easier appliance to clean than my juicer.

You don't need a health degree to know that drinking freshly juiced raw vegetables is definitely a plus if you or your family have a goal to achieve healthy diets. This is especially important if you are losing weight by eating healthy. There are too many people today that eat out of a box, or a can and never get the true basic nutrients that come with fresh produce. I liked the idea of having a handy, easy to clean appliance that would allow me to improve my physical wellbeing.

My first review point is that this product is definitely easy to clean. It is basically a blender and there are no parts on it that cannot be washed easily. Everything is easily accessible to clean. You just remove the top and you can put the pieces in your dishwasher or you can wash it by hand in the sink. You don't need a degree as a health master to realize that if a product is easy to clean, it will be used more often and the results will be seen much quicker than a product used infrequently.

The bonus recipe books you get are only a few pages long, but the recipes are very simple to make. However, there was only one book on juicing (about a dozen recipes) and the rest were on how to make party drinks, like frozen margaritas, salad dressings, frozen ice cream, and slushy drinks. These types of food products seemed a little counterproductive to eating healthy foods.

My second review point is the one that brings up my upset with the Montel Williams Health Master being a product that produces healthy “juices”. I used one of the recipes in the juicing book and took an apple, a grapefruit and a slice of ginger root and blended them per the instruction book. It took over a minute to finally get the grapefruit blended enough so that it was somewhat liquid. However, the final result was nothing I would consider “juice”. It was a thick, pulpy drink. I had to use a spoon rather than drinking it, and it had the consistency of a slushy drink, except it didn’t melt in your mouth. It was also full of air bubbles and very difficult to swallow. I tried adding water, but the consistency just became worse.

Granted, grapefruit is a somewhat stringy fruit, but the other recipes in the books rely heavily on all kinds of fruits and vegetables that would also have this same consistency. I don't see how they can promote this product for its ability to produce “juices” because the final result is too thick to even drink without watering down the ingredients.

My fourth review point concerns the payment handling by the company. I ordered mine on January 9th and received it within a couple weeks. The infomercial offers a 60 day money back guarantee, but I decided to mail it back in less than 30 days. My first charge (which included postage) posted on my credit card the day after I made the phone purchase. When I called to find out how to return the product, I was told I would receive a credit for the first purchase payment on my charge card within 72 business hours of receipt.

I sent the product back via UPS with a confirmation delivery signature required. They received the product on Feb. 3rd, however, not only did I not get the credit on my charge card, but on Feb. 11th they posted another charge on my credit card. I tried to call to find out why this had occurred and all I got was basically a busy signal on their business line. I tried calling the "new sales” department and they told me I had to keep checking on their confirmation/refund website. Finally, on Feb. 16th the credit appeared. It also finally appeared on my credit card account. What is frustrating now is that I have a credit on my charge card, when I should have a zero balance.

My final point in this accurate review of Montel Williams Health Master is that this product promotes itself as “more than a blender” so I expected more than a blender. What I got was a very large, very heavy blender. Yes, it is powerful. Yes, it can grind up concrete. Yes, it is easy to clean, has a large capacity, and can produce heated soups, ice cream, and various other products. But it is still a blender, so if you are looking for the great juicer that they are promoting on television, then you will probably be disappointed. All of the above comments are strictly my opinion and you are free to make your own judgments and assessments of this product, if you choose to purchase it.

If you would like to learn about another juicer that I do recommend that has a very good track record and excellent reviews, please check out my website on the Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite at http://www.breville800.com.

Thank you for reading my review of the Health Master.

Susan,

I wished I would have read your review before I purchased the Healthmaster. I received it yesterday, and have not had time or opportunity to take it out of the box... with the sixty day money back guarantee clock ticking, I guess I better get started, huh?

Susan Carter 2 years ago

Thanks for reading and commenting on my hub. And, yes, I would get it in the mail soon, if you decide you don't want to keep it. Also, I returned it via UPS so I would get confirmation and the shipping cost was only $16.39.

Bryan Eaddy 2 years ago

Nice review. My wife and I are thinking about buying a Health Master.

Susan Carter 2 years ago

Hopefully my review will help you with your decision. Thanks for your comment.

Kurt 2 years ago

Thanks for your review. My impression after seeing the infomercial was that it was basically an imitation of the VitaMix and similar machines. I've often been interested in getting one of those, but haven't wanted to pay the high price. Nevertheless, after doing some research, I bought a powerful Oster blender on sale at Costco a few months back, and I'm able to use that to make my own smoothies with various kinds of fruit and a few leafy vegetables (spinach mainly). It helps me increase my veggie intake, but without the high cost. I sometimes think about getting a juicer and then combining the juice with some of the leftover pulp in my blender, as well. I think that might be as satisfactory an option as this product.

Susan Carter 2 years ago

Your plan was a good one. Why pay over $200 for a fancy blender when you can get a quality one for a lot less money. And thank you very much for leaving a comment on my article. It is much appreciated.

Gail 2 years ago

Thanks, Susan for your very comprehensive and honest review. Unable to sleep last night, almost bought one and thought best to check first online for a review. I'm glad a did. So, in your opinion, what product would you recommend as a juicer?

Susan Carter 2 years ago

I can't recommend a juicer that I have used because I currently have the old style Jack LaLanne one and the problem I have with it is the strainer is very difficult to get off the juicer. This is why I bought Montel's product thinking I wouldn't have to worry about a strainer. However, I have a good friend who has the newer model of Jack's juicer and this is no longer an issue. He really likes it. What I like best is the big opening in Jack's juicer too because you don't have to spend a whole bunch of time cutting things into tiny pieces before putting them in the juicer. Thanks for your comment and I'm glad I was able to give you some worthwhile advice before you purchased the Health Master.

Brandon  2 years ago

No Way Susan! Hate to break this to you but the new Healthmaster Pro is worth every penny. The healthmaster is large but you can grind so many more fruits and vegetables at once with it. The Jack LeLanne Power juicer you still waste a lot of the vegetable unless you do something with the pulp. Everything is used up with the Healthmaster and the cleanup takes seconds. The motor is much more powerfull as well. Plus the healthmaster you can simply add water if you have less items. The Jack LeLanne model you cannot add water or ice. My Gf has Crohn's disease and its been a valueable tool too get all the nutrients in for her cause she cannot digest whole fruits and veggies. With this in mind $200 is a lot less than paying thousands more for medical bills due to more flare ups. In other words, if it keeps her out of the hospital it is well worth it. We tried the Jack LeLanne out and had to return it ever since we saw the Healthmaster and we are so glad we switched. I would not be surprised if a new one comes out like the Healthmaster endorsed by Jack LeLanne. If I was him I sure as hell would.

Susan Carter 2 years ago

Brandon, I'm glad to hear that your Gf is benefitting from the Health Master. And I do agree that the Jack LaLanne juicer does waste a lot of the vegetables and fruits. That is why I was looking for the Health Master to be an alternative. I do, however, stick to my comments about the fact that I don't think it's a good product for the price because it could not do the "juicing" it was advertising on tv. For your purposes, the grinding up of the food is critical so that your Gf can get all the nutrients in the whole product, but I wanted a juicer, not a pulverizer. I can get that in a regular blender. Thanks for being honest about your opinion and posting it. For other people, this product may be what they are searching for and your posting may help them. Take care.

thanks for the review susan. i ordered one of these without

checking the reviews on the internet. after reading about it

it is going straight back to the company unopened. i bought

a vitamix instead. at least you know they stand behind the

product

Susan Carter 2 years ago

I've heard good things about the Vitamix and am considering getting one myself. I'm glad my review was helpful. Thanks for posting a comment.

I was searching for confirmation thinking maybe I got a bad model. Your review is right on point with what I've been experiencing and I'm very disappointed in this product. It was truly a waste of my hard earned money and I'll be sending it back on Monday. Thank you!!

Susan Carter 2 years ago

You are welcome. Thank you for posting your comment. I would recommend sending the product back via UPS. I found their prices very reasonable and I trust their delivery confirmation as well. I've shipped a viariety of items (including my out-of-state Christmas presents) using UPS and have never been disappointed.

Lady_E 2 years ago

Aaaw. So sorry to hear about your experience - I'm glad you returned it though. I know of a chat show host in US who is called Montel Williams. I wonder if it's his product?

Your review will be useful to a lot of people.

Regards.

Susan Carter 2 years ago

Yes. Montel Williams is the chat show host in the U.S. that you have heard about. He is promoting this product that he helped design because he is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis (MS). He found that fresh juice and fresh vegetables processed without all the chemicals has greatly improved his health. Thanks for your comment, Lady_E.

I bought the Montel juicer in Sept, used it quite a bit at first, then noticed there was grease seeping out of a seal

in the pitcher. I bought the warranty, and when I called customer service they told me it would be 55.00 dollars to ship it back to them??!!! Also told me it was "normal" for the grease to leak out of the pitcher seal... I am really dissappointed, I think this is a scam. I could buy a new pitcher for the shipping charge. I am going to try to contact someone with more authority than the agent I spoke to on the phone. Has anyone else had this grease problem??

Susan Carter 2 years ago

Oh my gosh, that is outrageous. I mailed mine back and it cost me only $17.00 at the UPS store (which included the confirmation receipt). You have to keep calling and asking to speak with someone "up the ladder" who can help you. You have the legal right to return a defective product. You may have to tell them you are contacting an attorney if they will not help you. Sorry to hear you are having this problem. Good luck.

glo 2 years ago

I didn't purchase the health master from the tv , didn't want to pay almost double for it, so I recieved one for Mothers day. I do enjoy it very much , I like the smoothies and the hot soups I make with it. Most of all I love the easy clean up. I have found that ratio, water to fruits or veggies will make a more juice consistancy. The information you gave was welcoming, but I am one that is pleased with my Health Master,

Susan Carter 2 years ago

I'm glad to hear that you were satisfied with your purchase. Your comment about the ease of cleaning definitely holds true. I was really looking forward to this aspect when I first bought mine. Too bad my goal of a good juicer did not get fulfilled by the Health Master. Thanks for your comment.

mary beth 2 years ago

Loving these comments and the review. Last November I went through this same debate in my mind...Blender or Juicer? Monteil's blender vs Blendtec (recommended by GreenSmoothieGirl, or Vitamix, recommended by a lot of raw foodies, etc. back and forth I went. Juicing (as I understand) is SUPERIOR for HEALING the body since little digestion is needed and it gives your body a rest....but, you waste all that great fiber. Blending, is great for healthy maintenance...so I opted for the BLENDTEC. It is VERY POWERFUL and is short enough to fit under my kitchen cabinets. The Vitamix is ALSO great, but too tall and I have had one in the past...(lost it somehow in our re-model a few years ago). So..Now I am LOVING my Blendtec and use it for fabulous smoothies. I make protein smoothies a few times a day. I add Kale, or Chard or whatever greens I have, and @ an inch of banana, maybe blueberries if I have them. and then calcium powder, fruit powder, extra fiber, green powder, yada yada. YUM. and, of course ICE. They come out just perfect. I have also made green smoothies with some fruit added for taste and they come out very smooth...not chunky like the ones made with my old blender. Nothing irks me more than a chewey smoothie. I'm tempted to try the Jack Lalaine JUICER altho the pros love some of the other juicers. (Omega comes to mind). I think both have their place in the home but (IMHO) start with the Blender and then segue to the Juicer. They take up a lot of space tho. If I had cancer, I might have opted for the juicer since the juices are so healing. Just some thoughts. I'd say, figure out YOUR criteria (looks, function, etc) and then see which machine fits best. (duh) :)

mary beth 2 years ago

p.s. someone mentioned the waste that occurs when you juice...all that great pulp going to waste? I did see a recipe that used the pulp from APPLES added to some other things, then dehydrated, and enjoyed that way. great idea. I guess the only other thing is to compost, but still, seems like a waste, which is why I opted for the high speed blender (Blendtec) --or Vitamix. Rave reviews from users of both of those.

Susan Carter 2 years ago

mary beth - I agree with you about the waste of pulp when you juice, that is why I was looking at the Health Master. Thanks for all the good points you made in your comment.

Lori 2 years ago

I returned my also!! Still have the $40 dollar postage charge. And they are at Target. The infomericial didnt say you can get it at Target. Anyway, yes, the big blender did not produce juice. It was more like baby food. Too thick!

Susan Carter 2 years ago

Lori - I think your description was better than mine. Baby food is exactly the consistency description I was trying to convey in my article. Thanks for your comment, and it's too bad you had to pay return postage too.

Dennis Waltrip 2 years ago

I bought a Health Master, and after a few uses the pitcher started to leak down at the rotating blades section. It has a funky rubber washer at the bottom that allows leakage into the metal wheel of the main blender section. It was not guaranteed so I had to purchase a replacement pitcher for 50 bucks. What a ripoff.

Susan Carter 2 years ago

Oh my gosh. That's what you call a true "rip off". You would think that the washer would be the only replacement part, not the entire picture. Sorry you had to go through this experience. Thank you for your comment, though. Hopefully, it will help someone when they make their decision to buy or not buy this product.

Mike McWilliams 2 years ago

I used my Health Master a total of maybe 10 minutes, blending a few veggie drinks and some fruit smoothies, and it burned out while blending a potato Leek soup. I notice it acting and sounding differently when I cleaned it right before by filling it up half way with just water and running it. During the prep for the soup, it sounded ruff, then cut out and never came back on. Completely dead. I am sending it back next week. I only had it for about 4 weeks. I let it cool down and re-engaged the fuse, but it is totally dead.

Susan Carter 2 years ago

You must have been really upset when that happened. What an aweful experience. A previous comment on my HubPage had a "parts" issue as well, and they had to buy a whole new pitcher just because of a bad washer at the bottom. Apparently this product is also cheaply made. I'm so sorry that you had this occur, but you were fortunate to have it happen within the warranty period. You were lucky on that.

Bill 23 months ago

I received my Healthmaster. First thing I noticed is that it had a cheaper blade in it than the one they advertise on Television. I only had mine a few months and it burned up. All I ever used in it was fruit. Next thing you know smoke was billowing out of it. It has been several months and I still haven't received my replacement. They use cards as a delay tactic. Montel Williams should be ashamed of himself for using his celebrity status to move such a piece of junk. Buyer beware.

Doug 23 months ago

People. I'm looking at Montel Williams' infomercial right now. A simple glance at the Healthmaster is all it takes to see that it is a blender. I do believe that it's a strong blender but it is a blender. I am a scientist and the claims that it emulsifies food is just wrong. There may be some food combinations in the recipe book that accompanies the product that produce emulsions but it has nothing to do with a blender. Emulsification is a physical chemical process that is based on well defined chemical principals of which mixing (i.e. blending) is a component. The strong blender may speed that up but emulsion is not a result of the blender. The infomercial I'm seeing is not about a blender product but about moving toward a healthy diet and lifestyle. Anyone can do that without spending money on Montel Williams' blender. Eat more fruits and vegetables.

Susan Carter 23 months ago

Bill - It's upsetting to hear that you are being so mistreated about getting your money back. Just keep trying to talk to a supervisor when you call. Eventually you will succeed. I also agree that Montel should be ashamed of himself for backing such a crappy product.

Doug - Thanks for the additional input on how the claims on this infomercial are false. Emulsion is a big word used to impress people that this product is more than just an expensive blender. I was stupid enough to fall for the claims, along with a lot of other people. But I was lucky enough to send mine back immediately and get my money back. The comments above show that others were not so lucky.

jon 23 months ago

my name is joan, like every other person i bought the health machine and found out it could fit my under my counter space nor any where in my kitchen. so when i called the let them know that i will be shipping it back, they told me to use the return lable on the box, but when i got to the ups office i had to pay additional $33.00, plus the shipping what the 1st shipping cost was $69.00, i called and made a fuse about it, and they said that they will refund all my money back, a week later i checked my statement, they only had credited back the cost of the blender which was $269.00, i was so upset because i felt like i took over $100.00 and threw it the window, they promised to do something and yet they did't, so i just want to let people know that celebrites like montel williams make money from little people like us, and i just think it is a shame, and this why the rich get richer and poor peole stay poor, he makes us not to trust shopping online or those tv show. just want to say shame on you montel and may GOD forgive you for stealing other peoples hard earned money.

Susan Carter 23 months ago

You expressed my sentiments exactly Joan. I spent over $100 on postage (to and from) as well. It really infuriated me when I realized they were charging double the amount of postage that was necessary to send me the product in the first place. I'm sorry you got ripped off too. Montel should be ashamed of himself for promoting this product.

Angela 23 months ago

I a so glad that I started reading reviews about this product before I purchased. I have loved Montel for years & almost purchased the juicer this morning but obviously wont since it does nto seem to really be a juicer.

Thanks for the reviews and does anyone know of a juicer where you can mix your veggies & fruits liek they shows on the infomerical this morning?

Carl 23 months ago

Susan,

You could not be more accurate in your review of this product. In fact, before even reading your review, I told my wife the product is nothing more that a "powerful blender." Enough said. You are absolutely correct.

Carl 23 months ago

Susan,

One more thing,I returned the Health Master almost two weeks ago and I still have not received a credit to my account. I called customer service and was told to contact my bank; well, I just got off the phone with a customer service rep at the bank and nothing is pending as far as a credit is concerned.

PS. I appreciate my juicer even more now that I have tried the Health Master. It's not what it cracked up to be.

Selene 23 months ago

Thank you for writing this review!

I have been thinking about purchasing the health master or a vitamix for quite some time.

I have the newer jack lalane juicers, but I am looking for something that can 'juice' green leafy vegetables like spinach and kale. I have a stomach condition that makes it difficult to digest whole raw veggies and blenders whip too much air into the juice.

I would have been very disappointed to purchase a health master, only to find the same problem with air bubbles in the juice.

Will adding water helps with the air bubbles?

Can anyone tell me if the vitamix machines have the same problem with whipping air bubbles into the juice?

Gina 23 months ago

I ordered a Health Master and I am sending it back as soon as I get it as I bought the machine locally.

david 23 months ago

I watched at least some of that commercial a half dozen times before ordering. I did not research the product. I was compelled by a pity-sell done through an MS survivor and probably gave Montel too many points for illness when as it turns out he is just reselling a repackaged Jack LaLanne loser product. (My mom purchased one of Jack’s blenders from the manufacturer, Tri-star in which the container leaked where the blades assembly was part of the blender container and replacement parts were no longer available) When I ordered over the phone I became suspicious as I used the automated ordering system which "automatically" tries to sell you upgrades and more products etc. I did "upgrade" to the ultra or whatever they call it for more horsepower etc. and at more cost. I am fairly certain this is the same model they show on the infomercial. My purchase came to $309.90 including $39.98 for shipping.

I received the product very quickly and used it about 4 times before the motor died suddenly after about 30 seconds at mid speed. No smell of anything burning just suddenly stopped. I bought this product because the infomercial seems to emphasize the health aspects of the machine, but the included recipe books include 2-3 vegetable based drinks and the rest are basically fruit smoothies and gelatos and sorbets and cakes and breads. Most of the recipes boast the addition of fructose, simple syrup or "organic sugar" I guess the subliminal hope that organic sugar is better than ddt-laced mad cow sugar.

Customer Service answered the phone relatively quickly and says i will have a return document emailed to me within a few hours and if i write refund on the return label I should get one, minus shipping. crossing my fingers on that.

In the end since I had to pay for initial shipping my calculations are that I made four smoothies/juiced drinks for $10 each.

Carol 23 months ago

Thanks fir posting this. Was thinking of getting it because i want a powerful blender juicer and an ice cream maker,My friend has this and she loves it.now I have my doubts. Will go for a vita mix when I can afford it.

Beata 23 months ago

Dear Susuan, thank you so much for your review. I also would like to say big thanks to all the postings by all the people. As a mother of three boys I wanted to include more fruits and veggies in their diet. Thanks to all of you I didn't buy it.

Can anyone tell me why Vitamix is better? Is it cheaper?

Thank you, Susan. Love ya.

Beata 23 months ago

What if I use just regular blender and add a little water? Has anyone tried that?

Susan Carter 23 months ago

Beata - sorry, but adding water just makes it diluted. It is still just watery mush when you "blend" fruits and vegetables. Blending does not make juice. Juicing always has a strainer on it that keeps the pulp separate and blending does not separate the pulp from the juice. So adding water is only diluting the pulp. This is exactly what happened when I tried the Health Master. It is a blender and not a juicer. That's why the end result I got was like the consistency of baby food. It is not a juicer and that is what Montel Williams is falsely advertising his product as a juicer.

Elaine H 23 months ago

I purchased the Montel Williams blender and Susan you are correct its not a juicer. Its very difficult to use and the "juicing" is nothing more than a lumpy mess that you cannot drink. The products does not do anything the infomercial says it does. Montel Williams should not only refund the "blender" but also the food I purchased to make these so-called drinks.

Susan Carter 23 months ago

Yes, I agree with you Elaine. The food wasted while trying the Health Master is a loss. Montel should be ashamed of himself for promoting this product.

Ruby 23 months ago

Hi Everyone, I am glad I decided to research the Health Master before purchasing the product. I almost purchased it the other day, but then saw Montel on another commercial promoting a 'payday' loan place and thought I had better do more research before I fall for another celebrity scam lol. A friend of mine has a Vitamix and loves it--I think that might be a better use of my money. Thank you again for the review!

Hi Susan!

I found you while looking for reviews of the Montel Healthmaster. I have to tell you the I have had mine for a month and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. I'm a 41 year old man who wanted to bury some bad eating habits and start a regimen of brisk walking just 2 miles a day.

I find the juicer (blender) easy to use, easy to clean and speedy. I primarily make vegetable and fruit juices and in one month of using this product and walking 2 miles a day, I have lost 15 lbs and gone down two pant sizes in one month. I find the juices to be delicious and I LOVE the pulp. I don't add any water, just plain non-fat yogurt, a little ice and 4-5 kinds of fruits and vegetables. The consistency is much like the juices I would get at a place like Jamba Juice, but better because I am using fresh (not frozen) fruits and vegetables. I don't care of it's called a juicer, a blender or what... it's better than any blender I have ever owned and it does just what is says...

Also, they do offer more recipe books that you can purchase, and there are recipes online also...

:)

Just had a horrible experience making the phone call to order the HealthMaster. To order the HealthMaster, one has to deal with an automated voice which asks for your credit card info first, thereby binding you to a purchase. Being skeptical of this, but wanting to order just the machine, I reluctantly gave all my personal info as asked . . . and continued with the order process. Once the automated voice received my charge info, endless offers came through for additional items. This marketing process couldn't be stopped with the automated system. It was getting so ridiculous, the offer process continued for numerous non-related HealthMaster purchases, such as travel, etc., etc. It went on forever. No matter how many times I said "NO", pressing "O" to a live voice did nothing! Pressing other numbers did nothing -- was forced to stop the continued offers by hanging up. (Impossible to confirm or cancel at any time). Being furious with this, and not able to get out of the order process to cancel, I tried contacting Customer Service and was told the order immediately had a UPS number attached and they could do nothing about it. Montel better listen to his marketing, because it comes across as a SCAM. They do not have an option to cancel and confirm. What they do is tell you your status won't be available for 24 or 48 hours and shipping takes 4-6 weeks. They supplied a web site to check order status, and same was repeated with no info until 48 hours. So, I had to wait to check my order status -- only to find out they were charging me $309. Whoa, how did I ever get roped into this with that automated phone call. They were adding unheard of shipping charges, and extra unknown charges with no detail on the individuals order for the consumer to verify? It has been a nightmare trying to confirm what they are trying to send! Now, I'm told the order is immediately on it's way and was sent within a week's timeline. The only option they gave me was to "NOT ACCEPT" the package when it arrives from UPS. Then, and only then, will they credit my account. NEED I SAY MORE . . . THIS IS A SCAM WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. MONTEL HAVE YOU HEARD THE MARKETING STRATEGY FOR YOUR HEALTHMASTER??? I really wanted just the machine to try to improve my health, without all those extra binding offers. Now, I do not wish to try the HEALTHMASTER at all, nor will I watch the show anymore. I honestly thought Montel was trying to help people and not take advantage of them? So sorry Montel, I'm not a young chicken, just an honest "old sole" who just got SCAMMED. People, maybe Montel's HEALTHMASTER IS OK, but beware of his marketing/order process. (Lady in NC)

Susan Carter 23 months ago

BubBubBobby - I'm glad to hear you had a positive report on the Health Master. Unfortunately, you are among the very, very few who did. It does appear that your "juice" is the correct consistency for what you want. That's good news for you.

Lady in NC - That's just terrible that you got charged even though you did not complete your order. You should contact your credit card company IMMEDIATELY and refuse to pay the charges. This will help with your request for a refund as well as the refusal of the actual shipment. This credit card notification will also stop any finance charges on the credit card from accruing immediately. I'd recommend you keep track of all the people you talk to on the phone (dates, names, phone numbers, etc.) so that you have a record of this to fight the charges if the vendor pursues a collection process with you. I wish you luck.

Aissa 22 months ago

I'm really surprise with the negative remarks, for I use my Health Master everyday. I'm glad I purchase this item and told my co-worker about it. I've purchase a lot of items from info-commercial and have to say this is the first product I really like and use. I use grapefruits in a lot of drinks and never had to deal with pulp. Believe me, I got fool by the bullet express and was very concern about the purchase of the HealthMaster. If I encounter any problem down the line, I have no problem saying it.

anthony 22 months ago

i bought this BLENDER from bed bath and beyond for the reason if i wasnt happy with it i could easily get my money back. well im returning it tomarrow. it dosent juice the way it claims, and by the time the 'juice' is somewhat drinkable its more of a warm soup. if your looking for a big capacity, powerful blender than go for it. if you are looking for a juicer you wont be happy with this 'blender'...

Deb 22 months ago

Hey Susan,

From what I've read and understand, a juicer takes all the pulp out of the plant material as to bypass the intestinal tract, and is absorbed straight into the bloodstream. A pulverizer does just that and is able to make the rinds and the other material that you would not normally eat to be edible, this material contains the Phyto-nutreints you would normally not be able to get adding to the health benifit. So... I've been advised to have both, a good juicer and a "vitamix" type of machine, so you can tailor your diet better. Both are good and both are necessary..

I'm still not sure the Montel machine in the pro model is a good purchase... the jury is still out... still researching it...

thanks again for your blog.. very helpful

Donna  22 months ago

Thank you all for the honest reviews you have al posted. I was just about to purchase this item online after falling hook line and sinker for the infomercial and ranting to my husband about all the cool things it can do. All the reviews definitely helped with my decision NOT to continue with the purchase

ladylaw33324 22 months ago

I just got mine last night and I was so excited, thinking I would have a good juicer, similar to the vita. I have the Jack L juicer and it works okay. After reading all the negative comments, I am going to put it back in the box, call them and get a return number. I'm not even going to try it, as alot of people are having the same problem. I want juice, not mush. Thanks for all your posts.

Lady in NC 22 months ago

Thanks Susan for your great web blogs. Just wanted to let you know all items were refused at the time of the incident, and I notified the credit card company immediately. Interestingly enough, I'm getting email offers to accept a reconditoned machine because they don't want to lose me as a customer???

Susan Carter 22 months ago

Lady in NC - Now that is really funny. I can't believe that they are trying to sell you a used product when you didn't even want the new one. Is that crazy or what? Thanks for your comment.

ladylaw33324 - It's good that you read the reviews, but it's too bad you did it after you got the product. For return shipping I would highly recommend UPS. They gave me a really good rate and tracking code so that I could have it for my records. I thinks it's much safer using UPS than the Post Office. Their documentation came in really handy when I was arguing with the vendor that they had already received the product back. Good luck on your return. And thanks for your comment.

John 22 months ago

After reading these comments, i think montel should be ashamed of himself taking hard earned money from hard working people. He has enough money already why does he need to take advantage of the honest working person selling that cheap product. Thank you

Diane  22 months ago

Thanks for everything. I was just going to order this, I am so glad I didn't.

Nicolle 22 months ago

This sounds perfect for what I need. My grandmother has been on puried foods only, for 4 months now and it appears it won't be changing any time soon. She's lost alot of weight and I need to know she's able to get healthy foods in her diet. This is perfect if it works just as described here even by the not so happy people.

Patty 22 months ago

I got to use the blender once and the motor smoked it is a piece of junk now; I live in Vancouver Canada and it will cost me $60 us for return shipping LOL it is a piece of fancy looking crap!

Sandy 22 months ago

Thank you soooooo much for this review (and allowing user comments) sometimes I don't know what to believe when reading on line reviews, but your blog sounds legit and you have saved me some frustration.

Susan Carter 22 months ago

I'm sooooo glad I could help. :o) Thanks for your comments as well. The goal of my posting was to help others avoid the cost and frustration I went through when I made my purchase. I would have saved myself a lot of shipping costs if I had just done my own research. I do it now, however, especially after reading everyone's comments on my posting.

tony 22 months ago

Why is the machine mostly plastic ??? instead of stainless steel, or the price?

tony 22 months ago

instead of stainless steel for the price....

Nancy  22 months ago

FYI, in case anyone is interested, Bed Bath and Beyond has this machine. This way you can avoid the return charges and the aggravation of dealing with credit card nonsense. Just save the receipt.

Heather 22 months ago

I bought my health master before Christmas and I love, love, love it too. I have lost weight, seen less cellulite, have more energy, less indigestion problems, etc...it's great. I do play around with the amount of water that I use to get the consistancy that I want but do not consider that a deal breaker. I agree with Bobby that it is like a jamba juice consistancy. I can not believe all the vegetables that I have been able to consume thanks to this product. I feel healthier just drinking each concoction that I create. My attraction to the healthmaster was one, easy clean up not like those pulpy juicer messes and two, I always thought the idea of throwing the pulp away was a waste. This product has changed my life and I am greatful to Montel for it. I feel that those of you who just don't like the product, well that is just an opinion but those of you that have had mechanical problems or bad customer service I am truly sorry and feel bad for your experiences. I still stick with my personal opinion that it has worked great for me. Don't be a product hater just because it is not what you wanted or expected. Just acknowledge that it is not right for you. Many other may still benefit from it.

Susan Carter 22 months ago

Heather, I'm glad you are happy about your results. It's too bad there are so many people that did not end up with such a positive feeling about the Health Master.

Josie 22 months ago

I am 47 was diagnosed with early stage one breast cancer in 2008. A friend of mine loan me a Jack La Lane juicer and I started juicing right away. What I noticed is that it wasted so much of the vegetables and fruits and plus I learn that the fiber is good for your health as well. I ordered an omega juicer which i am extremely happy with and I blend some of the fibers in my bullet machine and then add to my juice. I don't believe in adding water for a juice consistency but adding water for the smoothie is quite ok. My cancer is in remission and I feel more healthier than I have ever been before I got diagnosed. I know with these juices, good diet and exercise I am building a good defense against diseases. My friend ordered a blendtec and I use it to do her smoothies because she also has cancer. She is doing extremely well from the benefits of these juices. I was thinking of getting the the health master blender but I have changed my mind because of this helpful review. If I have a choice it would be the blendtec but my omega I will always use as I believe firmly in fresh concentrate juices. Thanks Susan for your review.

Jon 22 months ago

Purchased HMB 6 months ago and have had a few issues with it. The pitcher leaks underneath and rusts! This also has caused blender to be extremely loud when in use.

Now the motor cancels when I increase the speed past the 3rd speed setting.

Unfortunate as blender worked very well for a month.

Shelly 21 months ago

I have the same experience as Jon. I purchased the HealthMaster last fall and there is this terrible oilly sludge that leaks between the pitcher and the base. Just last week, the motor wouldn't shut off when I hit the off button so I had to unplug it! I cant' believe I spent $200 on that garbage!

Choclitchic 21 months ago

The Star marketing people must have heard your cries. The website calls the machine a "fruit and vegetable emulsifier" and speaks of smoothies, not juice.

Susan Carter 21 months ago

OUTSTANDING !!! YAHOO !!!! We have finally been heard !!! Thank you for passing along this great information. I hope this will stop people from buying this product because of false advertising. Now all we need is for Montel to fix the quality control problem he has with his product so that people aren't fooled into buying junk.

Dee 21 months ago

Garbage and very poor customer service is right! I bought my Health Master last year and thank God I also got the 3 year warranty. The motor on 3 of them have burned out while making a simple smoothie. It can chop concrete but not frozen fruit?? The worst part is, is it takes the company over a month to send you a return label and resend the new blender. I've called 3 times a week for the past 3 weeks and all they say is, "ma'am that was sent out to you, but you have to wait 15 days to receive it. " I'm mad as hell, because today the guy said it hasn't even been shipped!! So, supposedly, he ordered another one to be shipped to me today and I still have to wait 15 more days! Ridiculous! And, they refuse to put me thru to a supervisor, saying "She's just going to tell you the same thing, or she's in the warehouse." This is bullshyt! I'm furious. Montel should be ashamed to be associated with such a poor product! Thanks for letting me vent! :)

Dee 21 months ago

Let me add, when the Health Master was working, it was great. I love the product it produces, I've made soups, smoothies and ice cream. I feel it costs way too much to burn out so easily. Three blenders, i mean, emulsifiers, in less than a year, at over 200.00 is ludacris. To Heather: I hope you bought the warranty!

Susan Carter 21 months ago

Dee - What a bad experience. I'm so sorry you had to go thru that. I hope you get your money back. I also agree with your comment to Heather. I hope she bought a warranty too.

Kristen 21 months ago

I'm with Heather. I love and have enjoyed my Health Master. Although I've only had it two weeks, it really has given me more options to consume the fruits and vegetables needed in a busy lifestyle. In this day and age of technology, why are so many of you using the stupid phone to order? You look online for reviews but then deviate and go to the phone to order? Then you just deserve the crappy customer service. Order ONLINE! I did, and although I didn't pay for the expedited shipping, it came in six days. Think about it this way, if it's taken a person their whole lifetime to be overweight or just unhealthy, a week or two is not going to make that much difference. Be patient! Besides, you're not going to lose all that weight in the time it takes to get the machine to you anyway. In my opinion (and everyone has them so let me have mine), this is a great machine, easy cleanup, easy recipes (although some are confusing, ie, pectin stabilizer vs. pectin?) and has added nice options to an otherwise boring and perhaps bad eating habits. However, when you order online, they ask for a phone number. I plugged in my cell since I have no home phone, and I did receive a call from MWHM customer service to try to sell me additional items. I said no right away and hung up. To sum up, whatever you pay for whatever item you end up with, if you enjoy it, does it really matter?

Diane 21 months ago

Diane

For the person that asked about it leaking i have heard a lot of problems about that.

Anna 21 months ago

I just ordered this item after reading the reviews. I ordered it through QVC, which differs on some points. It's more affordable, the shipping is $14 and their customer service is excellent. I have returned items previously without issues and many times they pay for return shipping. Unfortunately the limited warranty still sucks, but if I do this for the purposes of meal replacement, if it tanks in a few months, it would have been a wash financially compared to buying the drinks (my health food store charges $7+) or remaining in an unhealthy state. I'll write back with its performance and my experience, but do plan on using it in conjunction with my Breville citrus press and juicer.

Susan Kaul 21 months ago

I bought a health master a few months ago. And although it is a huge blender type machine, it is fabulous and my husband and I have not regretted buying it at all. We "juice" for meal replacements and healthful living style. We are trying to get more fruits and vegetables into our diet. And the amount needed is way to much to actually eat. So juicing was the only way. We have experimented with many recipes and really can't complain about any of them. My favorite thing to do is add hot sauce to the veggie drinks. It is like a v-8. Also something that really makes them sing is a little pinch of salt. What doesn't taste better with a little salt. But the thing is it has made a nice difference in our health. I recommend it. I think at the time this author wrote her hub she had the original machine. The new one is quite improved and well worth it.

Neena 21 months ago

I was on the verge of ordering the Health Master. The negative reviews were enough for me to sit back and wait until I find what I really want. With all the complications of life and money problems that exist, I don't need the potential aggravation.

So, thanks for the comments -- I will never buy another product without checking all opinions.

Debra  21 months ago

6 months ago i ordered; still didnt recieve juicer . having trouble getting money back . taken over in pennsylvania.

Anna Ortiz 21 months ago

I have the Health Master blender, it was a gift and I make the smoothies from recipes from the internet and books I've read. The blender itself is awesome. I have friends who have the vitamix blender and this one seems to do just as good of a job! I've been making green smoothies by the gallon with this thing and I love it! It is powerful. It's a great tool, I guess everyone is different and has different experiences. But you really have to experiment a little with smoothies, etc., I make smoothies using a lot of green plants and it helps me ensure I get all the veggies I need, fiber and all! If you have this, you just have to be creative!!

Tyrone Taylor 21 months ago

Tonight when blending fruits and veggies my health master just stopped. I turned it off and waited over an hour then hit the reset button. Nothing. When I picked the base up to press the reset there was something rattling in the base. Sounded like a small pin or something similar. Something definitely broke off. This is the second time this has happened. First time I sent back to Fingerhut and they replaced in less than ten days. I've got my box that it came in and am shipping it back. I'm not sure whether I'll request a replacement, again. There seems to be something that happens when I use the pulse button. You say Montel had a hand in designing this product. I think he shud have handed the whole design and testing to professionals!!!

Incredible to put such a product on the market with so

many flaws.

D. Nelson 21 months ago

I also ordered the Healthmaster from QVC and I gotta tell you I was on the fence. I had seen the model that Costco is selling and I was thinking about purchasing that one. Well I bit the bullet and purchased the Healthmaster and hopefully I will have a positive experience.....I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing though. I guess we'll see if it was a good purchase for me.....

random person 20 months ago

I just purchased the montel one.I also own the Jack LaLanne juicer.I understood the difference between both of them before purchasing.Juicers are great, but, you CANNOT substitute fruit and vegetable intake with a juicer alone, you are missing a very important part (fiber and other nutrients that come along with the pulp). You honestly cant expect something that blends to five you the same satisfaction as something that juices, they serve two different purposes. If you can afford to have a couple machines that give you different options then go for it.I recommend adding more water, soy milk,or whatever liquid you are using during the blending process.I often find some items just dont go well (whether it be taste or the item doesnt process well)with a blender or juicer.Ultimatly, the only thing we are really doing with any product is giving ourselves choices on how we eat fruits and veggies. If you're still in doubt on buying something, dont buy anything and eat the fruits and veggies the healthiest way you can, just by themselves.

Paula 20 months ago

I was considering purchasing a Health Master.

I have the Jack Lalane juicer & I love it... But like Susan, I was

Looking for something to get more of the fruits & vegetables in,

preferably without being sludge or baby food consistency.

I'm so glad that the HM was what some needed & they are happy

with their purchase... & I hope they continue to be happy. But I

cannot discount all the difficult experiences I've read here. I think

the "powerful blender" & the juicer have their place (why I want

both), but after reading these reviews, I think I'll research the

Blendtec.

Thanks so much, Susan... & all the rest of you who took

the time to give your input here. It has helped me to better

decide. Thanks & be well, Paula

Kim 20 months ago

I purchased the Healthmaster a few weeks ago from QVC. I tried it the first day after having it. No problems. My husband has MS and does not like fruits and vegatables so this is perfect. I didn't follow the receipes in the book but came up with my own-- was just like juice. The other day I tried frozen fruits instead of fresh and it did come out quite thick. I think you just need to experiment with different kinds of fruits and veggies to get the textures you like-even with the thick drink after putting it in the fridge overnight it was able to drink the next day.

Wendy 20 months ago

I got mine from QVC almost 2 weeks ago. Came with a giant recipe book. keep in mind this is NOT a juicer, so if you want JUICE - dont order it. Juicers spit out pulp. This machine does not. Having great luck with it and I plan on keeping it. This enables me to get all of the GREENS that I have been lacking intake of. I am a busy mom and am on the go alot, so I make a batch in the am and whatever I dont take with me keeps well in the firdge. I have also made hot soup. It came out extremely creamy for a recipe that has no cream. All recipies include healthy ingredients. I plan on keeping mine.

jojo 20 months ago

I have a smoothie business and have two vitamixes, needed more blenders and went on utube and popular mechanics had a blend off with a vitamix, blentex, bevelle and kitchen aide. The kitchen aide blew their socks off and is around eighty dollars. Had some osters that all died and leaked. But glad for your reveiw as was thinking about getting a health master but not if it leak and bad customer care. Love the kitchen aide, large capacity, pitcher is one piece like vitamix and they are fast!

Cici 20 months ago

I'm thinking of getting a blender to make smoothies and like that the Health Master makes soup too without having to heat it. I saw the Montel blender at Bed Bath Beyond for - I believe $199. The reviews don't sound too great, but at least you can take it to the store and maybe even use the 20% coupons they mail around... Just a thought.

Susan Carter 20 months ago

Thanks to all of you that put recent comments on my post. I see that some of you are satisfied and some of you are still concerned with the quality. I still stand by my assessment that the machine is being advertised falsely and that it is poorly made. This is confirmed by many of the people who already posted comments. The end result is "buyer beware" and I'm glad that many people are voicing their honest opinion so anyone who reads these can have multiple points of view to help them with their own purchase decision.

Kim 20 months ago

I sent my first Health Master back after 15-days (I purchased it from Amazon). It wouldn't even blend enough to make a smoothie. I decided to give it another try and purchase it directly from Health Master. Big mistake!!!! I used is twice then poof!!! The motor blew. What really stinks is that you are stuck with the shipping and handling costs not to mention the waste of time. Try calling customer service to get it returned and its like talking to a robot. to sum up this Health Master, over promised and under delivered.

Worked great! For about 3 weeks. This morning the seal on the bottom of the food container started oozing oil. What a joke! How can you stand behind this product MW?

michelle 20 months ago

I bought this product, and the reciepes are crap? you would think that with the connections this man has that he would be able to come up with something that actually tasted good! Very dissapointed and not worth the money> Over priced blender

Ruth 20 months ago

I purchased my HealthMaster via the infomercial. I am very happy with the performance and have learned how much water to add to that it DOES create a juice/smoothie. Most mornings I use an orange, a carrot, a stalk of celery, a chunk of ginger and about a cup of frozen strawberries and then add about 12 oz of ice and water. Some days I throw in greens and sometimes protein powder. I am very happy with the end result. My complaints regard the noise - it sounds like a jet airplane, and I do find some liquid leaking through the seal on the bottom. It is kind of rust color but since I am juicing carrots, I just assumed some of the liquid may be seeping. It is a very small amount but it concerns me. It seems to perform the same as the Vitamixes I've seen demonstrated in that it is so powerful it allows you to "juice" greens. At $199 it is a significant investment for me and my expectation is that I will have it for years. Though I may have to get ear plugs so I don't suffer hearing loss!

I PURCHASED A MW HEALTH MASTER. IT STARTED SLINGING OIL

AT THE BASE OF THE PITCHER. I LOVE IT BUT WANT IT TO WORK, WHICH IT IS STILL WORKING NOW. TRIED TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT WAS TOLD MY WAIT TIME WAS 23 MINS. I LOVE WHAT IT DOES , JUST WISH IT DIDN'T SLING OIL.

Joeyrenee 20 months ago

I purchased the Health Master adn was very disappointed. First of all, it is so large that it does not fit under my coundter and very heavy. I tried to call the customer service and they were very rude and not helpful at all. They said I could send it back but the $ 39.98 postage to send to me would not be reimbursed. I only agreed to $ 29.98 postage. Where did the extra $10.00 come from? Later was told it was for two brochures that were only several pages in volumn. What a rip off. I would not encourage anyone to buy this product. I think it was false advertisement on Monte's TV advertisement and needless to say I can't seem to get to him to tell him how I feel. I am out $ 65.00 for shipping for something that I can not use and is enormous in size.

David 20 months ago

Susan I was about to purchase one of these blenders but decided to check any online reviews first. So I know your main issue with it was it didn't make the juices like you expected. However did you ever attempt to make the soups it advertises to make? If so, how did they come out?

samoa 19 months ago

THANK YOU SUSAN !!!! ALMOST ORDERED THE HEALTH MASTER UNTIL I READ YOUR REVIEW. I HAVE MORE FAITH IN YOU THAN THE PRODUCT. THANK YOU ! PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I SHOULD LOOK AT N PLACE OF THE HEALTH MASTER. YUR THE BEST.

Susan Carter 19 months ago

Joeyrene - That was another complaint I had about the Health Master. Although it looked big on tv and I was prepared for that, it was way bigger than I thought it would be and it also would not fit in any of my cupboards. I had resigned myself to having it on my kitchen table because I planned on using it every day for juicing, but as you have read that was also a disaster. Thanks for your comment.

Susan Carter 19 months ago

David - I did not try to make any of the soups, although I had planned on using the Health Master for that purpose because I like fresh homemade soups. Unfortunately when the product failed so terribly at juicing I didn't bother to waste my time making soups because I could just use my regular blender for that. I didn't pay $200 for the HM to make soups. My 1st goal was juicing, my 2nd goal was soups. Tks for the question.

Susan Carter 19 months ago

Samoa - I'm looking at a product that I have heard favorable comments about but I'm still in the process of doing my research and should have an answer in a week or two. If you would like to check back here, I will be putting the link either in my article (above) or I will put it in my comments. Thanks for asking - and thanks for your comment.

My wife purhased the Health Master about 6 moinths ago and we have been using it off and on - maily for smoothies. We are experiencing the same leak at the seal around the blades that others are reporting. Looks like the only option is to order a new pitcher - poor engineering. Also sounds like by the time I get a couple of new pitchers I could just go get the Kitchen-aide model that Jojo mentioned instead....frustrated. FYI - after the grease leaks out - it is your smoothie or whatever is in your blender that is leaking out!

Nancy 19 months ago

I have to say I am disappointed in the customer service side of the healthmaster. I purchased one beginning of the year with the 3year warranty. Like someone else said the grease began leaking from the seal also. First time it happened in the first 90 days so they replaced the entire machine at no charge to me. However, it's happened again and this time they want me to pay shipping for the part which they claim is about $25. What a rip-off! They claim the plastic cannister is worth $50 which is not likely. I went ahead and ordered it anyhow because we really do use it everyday even if only for our morning smoothie but it does pulverize the frozen fruit better than a regular blender and it is easier to clean than a regular blender. Interesting that the post from several months ago said they wanted $55 five months ago to get a replacement pitcher and now it's less than half that. HMMM postage has not gone down as far as I know.

I recommend the Breville 800 juicer. You can find out more information on my website www.Breville800.com. Thank you for asking.

Phil 18 months ago

We bought the Healthmaster in February this year. We've used it faithfully almost every day since. To get around the "baby food" problem, I put a spoon of concentrated frozen orange juice and some water. It works out fine. MY PROBLEM IS this is my second machine from them. The first started leaking thick oil, making clean up of the machine and floor and table much more of a problem. The second immediately started doing the same thing. While on vacation at the lake we decided to try our old small blender to do the same drink. No oil, same drink. I'm tired of messing with the mess and calling it a costly learning experience. Wish I had checked with someone like u first Susan.

JW Duncan 18 months ago

I have two Healthmasters, one standard model and the other overpriced even more Higher HP model that claims to have more power. So with two different units, I couldn’t tell any difference between the so called “Extra Power” to the standard model.

Within a few months, the “Deluxe Model”, like many other complaints I’ve seen online, began leaking grease from the motor into the base, then started getting oil/grease into the contents in the pitcher, which also started leaking.

The lower cost unit, also proved to be a piece of….junk, also Made in Communist China, and routinely trips the circuit breaker on both the unit itself and the GFCI outlets in the kitchen where it is used. I haven’t tried grinding a concrete block like Montel Williams claims on TV, but I can say apples, carrots, and other hard veggies or fruits don’t do as well.

I bought these to lose weight and get greens, fruits, and other so called healthy foods into me that I wouldn’t normally eat. However not only did I gain weight, but some of my health issues got worse following their recipes.

I’ll take part of the blame for not sending them back immediately when I opened the “Repacked” box to the inner box and saw in big bold black letters: “MADE IN CHINA”.

So at $267 per unit times two, I’m out of over $500 worth in crap I can’t use, made in China for pennies on the dollar.

I wonder if we should start a class action suit against Montel Williams? After all, he is here in America where we can get to him in the courts. China, no chance.

I think today I'll start calling consumer reporters, Montel Williams show, the Better Business Bureau, and any news agency I can think of about the POS blender. I was among the first people, like many others, that thought this would be a great kitchen appliance when it first came out. Now I'm man enough to admit I was wrong.

Susan Carter 18 months ago

It so infuriates me that Montel continues to promote a product that is a piece of garbage and people are loosing their hard earned money when all they are trying to do is get healthy. This is so wrong in so many ways.

Paul 18 months ago

Right from the beginning the pitcher leaked oil, now after only 5 or 6 uses it leaks the pitcher contents badly down into the inside of the base. Stuff leaks out from behind the control panel. I wanted the Healthmaster for making soups but as it heats up as it runs it leaks worse. This is a disappointing product.

Sandy 18 months ago

I have a Cuisinart blender that does just as well as the HealthMaster appears to. I make protein shakes and can throw in a whole peeled orange, chard, banana, frozen blueberries and melons, spinach...you name it and as long as you add adequate water, you get a delicious shake.

Dee 18 months ago

Duh, people. You cannot make JUICE with a blender. In order to be able to make juices with raw veggies, you need both a JUICER and a BLENDER. The juicer pulps and juices items like carrots, etc. that even a Health Master can't do, and it's JUICE, not an emulsion. Look in any juice recipe book and it advises to use both. In order to make juices with multiple veggies and fruits, you must use BOTH. I love my Health Master; it does exactly what I want it to do, and it does exactly what it is designed to do. If you want a machine that does everything, it doesn't exist.

Crystal M. Barkley 18 months ago

I don't need to write a complaint about my oil leaking pitcher, because it's all been said. What is Montel saying about his product and where do we go from here.

I bought a Montel Williams Healthmaster. It burned up in just a couple weeks and I did not use it that often. Just stopped running. I have not yet tried to return it. That is next week. *sigh* The product is junk!

Mike 17 months ago

Here is an alternative way to buy this which eliminates any hassles. I picked one up at Kohl's this morning, which was on sale for $199.00 Kohls always sends us coupons for 15% to 30% off, and we happened to have a 30% off coupon. So, my purchase price was $140.00 Then, Kohls gave me a $20 Kohl's Cash coupon to use on anything else I want in their store. Net cost, $120.00 plus tax. I put it on my Kohl's card, and they will take it back, no questions asked if I decide I don't like it. Used it right away, but made our juice to thick, so next time I will use less ingredients and a little more water. Not bad so far, very powerful and easy to use. Will try to update soon.

Everything I've read here is TRUE! This product is JUNK! Don't buy it! You will regret it.

Susan Carter 17 months ago

Mike - That was a very good buying plan. Avoiding the shipping costs altogether and having a built in return policy was brilliant. I wish you the best of luck on your purchase, but I won't bet that you will keep it long considering the issues that are so common with this blender.

Susan Carter 17 months ago

I'm still getting questions from people asking if there is another blender that I do recommend so I thought I would add another comment here about the Breville 800 juicer that does get great reviews and is one that I highly recommend. You can find out more about this juicer, and get a few cleaning tips I've included on how to keep your current juicer working efficiently and help keep it looking new, at http://www.breville800.com. Thanks for reading my HubPage.

JUNK !!!! GREASE BEARING ON BOTTOM OF PITCHER GOES OUT. TRIED TO RETURN ,NO GO. THEY OFERED ME A TOKEN AMOUNT OF MONEY TO KEEP PRODUCT, I SAID NO I WANT MY MONEY AND THEY HUNG UP ON ME. I DID RECEIVE A NEW PITCHER BUT, YOU GUEST IT, THE GREASE BERING WENT OUT AGAIN! THIS ALL HAPPENED IN LESS THAN A YEAR, TIME FOR THE BETTER BUSINESS PEOPLE TO GET ENVOLVED. THE OTHER PERSONS REVIEW WAS RIGHT, AN OVERSIZED, GLORIFIED BLENDER THAT IS NOT WORTH THE POSTAGE. WHICH REMINDES ME, THEY ALSO CHARGED ME $24 DOLLARS TO SHIP A NEW PITCHER. IN REVIEW: MONTEL IS A CROOK, AND THE HEALTH MASTER IS JUNK!

willis 17 months ago

Wish I had read this comment before buying the healthmaster,Last NOV;Ibought one started leaking in JAN;called and was told it will cost me $24 to ship me a new canister,I GOT THE NEW CANISTER which is leaking again this is a rip off and I think there should be someone to protect us the consumers.

Susan Carter 17 months ago

Andrew and Willis - Sorry to hear about the rip off that you experienced. And when I think about the fact that they charged you $24 to ship only the canister I was just amazed. I shipped back my entire blender to them for only $16.39 thru UPS and you are talking about a huge weight difference. What a slimy way to rob people of their money. Wow. That's all I can say.

The number to get intouch with a human. The first time I called it I got a human and no fuss not saying that the next time I call I wouldn't get any either. I opened the shipping box. I was not hear to catch ups so now I have to pay for the S/H to return great. read the reviews after recieving it to bad to just turn around and have to send it back. I am a vegeaterian and was looking forward to using it for quick, fresh soups don't eat the caned soups. but anyway I am really disapointed overall was looking forward to a much easier way to eat fresh a change up on fruits and veggies the number is 1-973-287-5186 do not know where it is but it went straight to a customer service rep. Hope that this helps those who are wanting to speak to a human not to say that you will so do not quote me just try for yourself.

Well, took the one I bought back to Kohl's this afternoon. No fuss, no muss, credited my Kohl's card, and that was it. As for the product, it just did not do what I wanted, and not worth the price. When I saw how dull the blades were, about like a butter knife, that did it.

Good input here. Obviously, I would NOT recommend Mr. Montel's dream machine at all. BTW, don't ya just love that Sylvia Brown miscreant he hangs out with?

Pyvette 17 months ago

I had card in hand, just minutes from placing my order for the HealthMaster, but decided to check reviews online. Thanks so much for your review, I certain that it has saved me much frustration and stress. Will check out the Breville 800. They almost had me- Whew!

BILL 17 months ago

I SAW THE INFOMERICAL AND WAS SOLD. WHAT AN IDIOT! IVE HAD MINE ABOUT 6 MONTHS, WHEN IT STARTED MAKING WIERD NOISES FIBERS STARTED COMING OUT OF THE BOTTOM. THAT WAS IT MY JUICER HAS NOT WORKED SINCE. NOW I HAVE TO PAY FOR SHIPING. PLUS SEND THEM 50 OR 60 BUCKS. I MIGHT AS WELL SEE IF I CAN FIX IT. IF NOT PUT THE SHIPING COST TO PURCHASE A REAL JUICER. OH I FORGOT I SPENT EXTRA TO PURCHASE THE MOTOR UPGRADE MORE WATTS. NO WONDER MY WIFE IS ALWAYS BUSTING MY CHOPS.

Philip 17 months ago

I purchased the machine last year....it had it's problems.. I t has lived up to everything they advertise and more. But every new product will have it's faults...so that's why I chose to opt for the seven year waranty...and this is the third machine that they have just shipped me...they pay for the postage to send your broken machine back t them...and I had a new one shipped to me in a matter of a few days...and I still have 6 years left on the warranty.. I highly recommend the machine and customer service

Lauren 17 months ago

Love the blender. Hate the service. The blender works just as well as the infomercials. However, my pitcher began leaking at the bottom near the blades less than a month after purchasing it and when I called they said it was going to cost me $25 to replace it! I did nothing to cause their product to malfunction yet I was being charged to fix their problem. Completely unacceptable. I will never purchase from this company again. It's a shame since the blender really is amazing.

Susan Carter 16 months ago

Bill - I also bought the upgraded higher watt blender too. What a waste. One of my previous comments stated that a cheap way to send it back is to use UPS. It only cost me $17 and I had proof of delivery for my credit card dispute. Good luck!

Jonjett 16 months ago

I bought one, and I'll let you know how satisfied I am with it after a few weeks. One thing I know in business, is it's easy to solicit complaints about a product or service. How many units have been sold, and how many are happy with them. The ones that are working, won't have folks seeking further review or comments. I say this as I work in the medical field. We have thousands and thousands or surveys handed out, but most of the returns are less than 1% of complaints with something as menial as "the nurse had a perfume that I found offensive". Nothing bad about the care provided, but we have to record and track the complaint comments.

Susan Carter 16 months ago

Jonjett, you are correct. Complaints are always louder and more noticeable but what is upsetting is that there are so many of these products that are being returned to Montel Williams for the same exact issues. This tells me that they are not listening and continue to crank out the same garbage with no respect for the people that spend their hard earned money trying to get healthy.

This HubPage was created over a year ago, and the complaints are still the same. Montel is not listening and is still selling a defective product. Yes, there may be only a small percentage that is having problems and we don't see the larger percentage that is satisfied, but the question is "why are they still selling them with defects"? Why aren't they fixing the known problems? This is what makes me mad.

Norma 16 months ago

I bought the Health Master. I have a few annoying parts of this purchase. 1) the phone call to make the order was automated and I had to say "no" to about 100 other options that completely annoyed me. 2) I got the product and it is HUGE! It does not fit anywhere in my apartment kitchen, so it is siiting on the edge of my counter. 3) The 3rd time I used it it did not work until I pressed down on the top of it. When I called to ask for a replacement, they told me they would send out another one once they recieve this one back. I had already purchased a ton of fruit and veges and was looking forward to using it, so I gave them a piece of my mind, and they decided to charge me for another one (at a discount) and sent it out. I am to return the used one when I get the shipping label from them. I am able to use the blender by pressing down on it, but I have too much food going to waste if I don't.

I really love eating healthy, and I have made a few great things in this blender, so even though all of the annoying things above happened, I am enjoying making some great muffins, drinks, and soups. You are correct with the pulpy drinks, but I just try to avoid the pulpy foods.

Laney 16 months ago

I agree with you. I received the health master as a gift about 6 months ago. It is a very powerful blender that is very loud (similar to a small plane taking off a run way). It does not juice but it does blend and as some of the other people on here said, I could have gotten a less pricey blender to blend. Well the blender has now broken for no reason at all and I decided to utilize the life time warranty-they are replacing my blender as long as I take care of the $29.90 shipping fee. I am very disappointed and can already foresee the blender braking down in another few month and the health master reps not being as generous. Do not buy this product-complete waste

Laddy 16 months ago

I have had a healthmaster for almost a year. The gasket around the bottom of the pitcher is leaking - bad. I called the company to have it replaced. They will replace the pitcher, but it costs $25.00 to ship it. Ridiculous! So, I ordered the pitcher, 20 days ago, and still haven't received it. I am so not happy with Healthmaster. Piece of junk. DO NOT BUY!

Lisa 16 months ago

Mu husband got me a health-master for Christmas.

I had only seen one infomercial and did not really have time to look into it further but boy I wish I had seen your blog. My husband did not look into it at all but certainly was skeptical when he saw how large and jenky it was in person.

First of all the info is totally misleading regarding the hot aspect-it sure seemed like it would cook soup-and make veggie juice as well as smoothies. That was not the case-you actually have to heat up the soup in a sauce pan but that was never made clear. The consistency of the one smoothie I did manage to make before it crapped out was terrible. The interface of the lid with the click mechanism to the pitcher that lets you turn it on is terrible. The on switch would not work properly from the get go and then died all together. It is really a piece of junk.

Then to make matters so much worse, my husband paid cash at Target, lost the receipt and when I tries to return it for store credit got totally shot down even tho I had all the packaging and it was defective-same thing from the manufacturer. I was so irate that I just left the box sitting at the customer service desk-cursed at the manager and left. I am so appalled at Target for carrying such a piece of crap and then not helping out a valued honest customer that I will NEVER SHOP AT TARGET AGAIN.

So much for the 200 bux -Im happy with my Kitchen-Aid blender and my Omega juicer.

What a SCAM!!!!!

Linda 15 months ago

Brandon,

I just read your blog - just fyi Jack LaLanne came out with sometime called the Health Master 100 long before I ever saw the Monteil infomerical. I have one. I bought it a few years back and still have it. I'm not sure why they haven't been promoting it on TV. I've see the adds for Jack's juicer quite a lot, though.

beverly  15 months ago

thanks, i wish i had read the blog as well. i purchased 2. i have only blended smoothies in mines and guess what. yes not working. after contacting the company and going thru the turn it over and hold the button.....still not working. i have to pay $29 for a new base. for what i hardly used the thing. i was informed by the cust service rep that this is a charge everyone has to pay. for a defective machine......what a ripoff. i haven't even had a chance to see if it blends soups yet and the motor already gone out. MONTEL i want my money back.

Tereasa 15 months ago

I purchased this machine awhile ago, at first I loved it using it everyday. Then it started leaking, I was told it was oil and that it was normal. I said it's not oil. It was the veg. I use that was leaking out. I was sent a second pitcher which started leaking as well. Because of the mess I started using it less, sometime weeks even months went by without using this machine. Today I used it after making juice two days ago. Today the motor gave out. I'm writing the BBB and will call this company as well and maybe even the local TV station.

Ann, acne no more specialist 15 months ago

I barely order things online. If you received the product with some damage, you would not be sure if it was really damaged before it left the company or it was damaged during the time it was being shipped. If I see something I want on infomercials, I'd just try to look for them in groceries/malls. Another thing that took my attention are the recipe books that you said were included. If they are promoting it for healthy products, then they should not have included those party drinks recipe books, etc. Yes, people would eventually use the blender for those, but including such recipes does not really suit what is being promoted.

Shirley 15 months ago

I think the Healthmaster is just terrible. I used it for the first time yesterday, and had a disastrous experience trying to make a quiche. Followed the recipe and instructions, and whoever came up with their recipe did not try it themselves. The Healthmaster got overheated apparently, stopped, and directions said to wait 30 minutes before turning it on again. It still didn't work. Because I was making a dinner for company, this was NOT a good thing. I'm returning it as soon as possible.

Susan Carter 15 months ago

I'm sorry to hear about your problem. What a bummer that it happened when you were getting ready for a dinner party. In case you didn't read my previous comment above, I would recommend mailing it back via UPS as the cost should run you about $17 which is way cheaper than what they are going to charge you to return it. If you decide to try buying another juice, I recommend the Breville 800JEXL. You can read about it on my site (www.Breville800.com) and get some cleaning tips and juicing recipes as well. I wish you good luck getting your money back from Montel.

Nancy 15 months ago

The Health Master is the worst investment I've ever made. Poor quality craftsmanship. I've had 2 in 10 months because they've both had the same problem. The base top spits out a gritty greasy film coating the underneath side of the container bottom. I'm trying to deal with Health Master now in getting a full refund. Not a pleasant experience. I don't recommend this blender to anyone. The saying...you get was you pay for wasn't the case with the Health Master. I bought a Vitamix and you truly do get what you pay for. I love it and you don't have to pay extra for a motor warranty! Imagine that!

self trainer 15 months ago

I purchase the health master w/ the ext. warranty. It worked well for a little bit. It smell like metal was burning every time I turn it on. Should have known better, because that was my warning, it was going out. I utilized my ext. warranty and paid shipping and handling for a so call new base. Well it worked the first, with the metal smell. Try using it the second time, it did not come on. I know I have a fight ahead of me, but I am determine to get a full refund. DO NOT BY THIS MACHINE!!!

mike viehl 14 months ago

bought it and within 3 weeks started leaking black fluid from jar bottom, called cust serv they said it was normal oil from the blade.ok,kept using and it got worse and finally juice coming thru.they refused to replace and told me i had to pay for new jar, spoke to supervisors and was never called back.saw montel on qvc and called the host and e mailed also and told him my prob,to my surprise in 4 weeks i got a new jar sent to me free.it is now sitting in my cabinet and i havent used it since.i use a hamilton beach 90 dollar blender that works fine.montel selling garbage

Susan Carter 14 months ago

Mike - That was real initiative on your part. Too bad it came too late for you to be happy about it. I hope my other readers see your comment and perhaps get through to Montel on QVC. Let's hear an uproar from all the unhappy customers !!!

Jennifer 14 months ago

My husband really wanted to purchase this item, but I figured I would check into some opinions before buying, and I am glad I did, I have found NOTHING (well almost) of good reviews, evryone has had terible customer service, broken stuff, leaking, ect. Also, in case pople are not aware Montel also does an advertisemtent for MONEY MUTUAL a payday loan company, I won't even tell you the horror stories with this, thousands of people out of thousands of dollars, extra charges on credit cards, fraud, harassing phone calls and threatening. If I was Montel I would be SO ASHAMED of myself, he has helped to rip people off for money and in the name of good health and trying to make ends meet. In our world today I cannot belive that he would be such a scumbag, especially knowing how many hard working people are out of jobs and trying to save money and save on medical bills. Also, I thought I should let people know Montel does NOT have MS his wife had it years ago, or so he said. I wouldn't take anything from Montel not even for free, the box would probably blow up on my doorstep!

shanon 14 months ago

I have one and find that it is WAY TO LOUD that it hurts my ears and leaks brown fluid from the bottom...they did replace it but it's still to loud.

Simon Pong 14 months ago

Bought one marked as 'Return' from Bed Bath and Beyond for $40. I can't wait to try it tonight and let you know the result

Susan Carter 14 months ago

Yes, Simon, it will be interesting to see how well it works. People don't generally return things that are functioning properly. Unless of course they read my Hub Page :o)

Toni M 14 months ago

I purchased the Health Master in May 2009, in December the circuit panel burned up. I didn't get the replacement until June 2010, I haven't been using it on a regular basis but it burned up again last night, March 25, 2011. I guess I have to consider this a lessoned learned since it is after the 60 day warrenty and it's the circut panel that burned up not the motor that has a 100 year warrenty. That 100 year warrenty is so decieving. This is the first and only thing I have purchased from an infomercial.

Also, the blade is not sharp as advertised, in fact there is no edge on the blade at all, it is cut at a 90 degree angel. I will pull my Osterizer out of the cabinet, it is dependabe, stores well, has a very sharp blade and is affordable, lasts longer too.

Good health to everyone.

Susan Carter 14 months ago

Another sad case of the Montel ripoff. Toni, sorry to hear you had to be one of the casualties.

C Smith 13 months ago

Pro: Blends as stated in Review, Very Powerful, Easy to clean & Can make HOT soup out of about anything you put in it!

CON: VERY POORLY MADE CHINESE JUNK! As CHEAP a made product as can be assembled! Cardboard shipping boxes are better made! Mine had to be repaired twice to keep working. (electrical) Then the Bearing assembly in the mixing container just decomposed as only something cheaply from China can do!

Best Advise: Shop around & get a large container blender from a well known company that blades/Bottom remove for cleaning. Avoid Montels blender, Spend your $$ smarter! Avoid our Mistakes!

Terence Jeffries 13 months ago

I found you review very helpful. After attempting to turn some carrots, celery, and apple to juice; I found my self with some sort of filling for a pie! Far from anything you would call juice. After being accused of "not doing something right" I searched for a helpful review--Wha-la! Thanks!

Susan Carter 13 months ago

It's too bad you found my review "after" you made your purchase. In the event you can convince them to give you a refund, I would recommend using UPS to ship it back. They have a very good price for the weight and size of the original packaging. Good luck.

Erin 12 months ago

I wish I could just throw it at Montel's head becaus it is so terrible. I am disabled and on a limited income and boutht this I thought It would be a grea addition to help me eat healthier and get more greens. With this I wish i had just bought a Jack La whatever juicer. Yes there is pulp but if my Mom can do the washing so can I and the juice she makes is great and u don't have to add a lot of sugar. I wanted that when I bought the Health Master. I got an expnesive piece of junk. His career can be very well if he endorses or makes products like this. I wish they would stop production and give every one there money back, It sit in my pantry taking up space. I make smoothies in my regular Oster ice chopping blender.lol I really feel bad because even if it just made baby food digestiable food that would be ok with some people who are on mostly liquid diets but he used my heatlth condition and his to get me to buy this. That is wrong. He has MS what would he feel like if his realitive or family spent a lot of money they didn't have on the Health Master and it was just another. They could at least be courtesous enough to pay for you to send it back free of charge and give you the majority of the money like most well made product.

Joyce 12 months ago

I wish I had seen your review before I purchased the Healthmaster. I purchased it last year, used it once and didn't like the taste of the juice. I thought it was me because I an not used to healthy eating. I packed it away and pulled it out last night becaue my husband has cancer and wants to start juicing. I tried to make carrot juice and it was too much pulp. Still blaming my lack of expertise, I started searching the internet loooking for a way to get rid of the pulp problem. Now after reading all of the comments, I realize this is not a juicer and I will not be able to get the desired consistency. Now I will have to search for a bonafide juicer.

Eric 10 months ago

I love the healthmaster, but its poorly built. Used it for just a year before it died.

Charm G 10 months ago

I was enjoying the montel health master until it broke down the first time. I sent it back and got a new replacement.

Now iam back in the same position again with a blender that is not working. Such incompetece! I could have bought 4 blenders for the price I paid for this product. The inconvenience it is costing my family is certainly not worth it. You have to wait 10-12 business days for them to mail you a return receipt. worst off i called 3 weeks ago ans is still waiting on the return label only to call today to find out it was not mailed.

SUCH AN INCOMPTENT STAFF AND PRODUCT.

Susan Carter 10 months ago

Charm - Obviously there has been no real customer service on this product - ever. It's too bad you are still dealing with it.

Jack 9 months ago

This is the worst blender I've ever purchased. I used it only a dozen times and the base unit started spewing rust or some kind of oily substance and basically stopped working...They then, according to the lifetime warranty, (which they do not explain) sent me,what they called, a new base for ONLY $29.99 because I had the lifetime warranty.. Well I undoubtedly got a refurb'd unit that was also broken. Calling back and getting a call center in INDIA is even more disconcerting since I barely could understand the person. Was put on hold 4 times since he had to confer with a manager as to what to do.....I'm quite disenchanted with Montel williams at this point...thought he was a stand up guy,,,but he's like everyone else trying to scam the public by using his name....it's all BS.....

Sandy 9 months ago

Ive got one of those pieces of junk and called health master about my problem and they told me it was the motor and like a fool I ordered a new motor, costing me 29.95. I got the new motor and just used it for the first time and had the same problem. Called the company and they then proceeded to tell me it was the blender container and I could order a new one for 49.95....hey guess what...if I do that I'll have a new piece of junk. Just what I want. We ordered ours from QVC and it is totally out of their hands now. I've noticed on your sight that I'm not the only one with this problem. I'm just wanting to send it back but they won't credit my account. I gotta tell people not to order the NINJA blender either. The gears are plastic and I only used it twice before it broke and people still continue to purchase them. I've come to the conclusion I would be better off with a cheap blender and just replace it as needed!

Ebby 9 months ago

Thanks for your honest review on the healthMaster. My issue is that the motor on my went dead. I tried o reset the blender with the help of a rep on the phone but it was in vain.. Unfortunately for me I bought mine in April and didn't start using it till may due to traveling.. ( 60 days guarantee is over) So now we are in august and the motor is dead.. Custom service rep says I can get another one sent o me but the shipping cost is $29.99.. My question is, is this motor in this blender going to die every 2-3 months? If so it will cost me $29.99 dollars every time they send me a new motor.. That means I will end up paying about $200 more for this damn blender.. I'm really disappointed. O well

I love my machine,,it not only works well, but as for the recipes,,I received a 2" thick binder with oodles of recipes in it! I am learning more and more about juicing vegetables,,I never thought I'd drink Spinach till this machine! But he was right,,a banana or some strawberries do wonders for taste when it come to a vegetable you don't normally like!

Gerald 8 months ago

First off, nice review from a user's view point. I too am looking for an alternative to JL's Juicer and a new blender due to old one breaking. Secondly, it is funny that people dog Montel for TriStar's faults in customer service. Montel endorses the product not TriStar, who by the way, also makes the Jack LaLanne's Juicer. I am looking at the HM because it uses the pulp too. I can see from the infomercials that the "juice" is more of a smoothie mixture which should be expected with as much fibrous veggies and fruits being used. For those with the "leaks", that is not acceptable no matter who made the product. For those on the fence, take note that for any product, you will see more complaints than praise online. Weigh the worst cases before you purchase and keep in mind that no one product is ideal for all consumers. Susan, nice blog, I like how you actually interact with your followers and keep it more of a discussion than a review depository.

bob martin 8 months ago

bought a health master about 4 months ago online. the thing is very loud, about 2 months in the blender stated spitting black oil. i guess a bearing seal went, the oil damaged the rubber seal on the pitcher. the pitcher now leaks like the hoover dam and is useless.

i have come to the conclusion that it was a piece of junk and just put it out with the trash!

Susan Carter 8 months ago

LouJean - Wow, you received a completely different set of juicing recipes that I did. My set was just a few little booklets. It also appears that you got one of the juicers that works. I'm glad for you.

Susan Carter 8 months ago

Gerald - Thanks for your post, and the compliment to me. It's true that you will see more negative than positive in reviews, but I didn't find many positives when I was getting ready to write my own review. But there are always two sides to everything and I try to be fair and allow both to be seen here. Have a good day!

Gerald 8 months ago

DW and I have settled on the HM Pro model. I will post here after a few uses to share my findings. Also, if you get the Pro model, then you get a 60 day test window. Of course if you order via toll free, then you will get the same for the classic model per infomercial.

Robin 8 months ago

Glad I saw your review, one of the things that is hard to get away from is buying a high priced "blender" that just pulps or turns everything in to a foam that is not pleasant to drink...

Denyell and Sally Wise 8 months ago

We bought two health master about a month ago. It was the worst investment weve ever made. From the first time we used them, their were problems. We want to return them and get our money back and no matter when we call the number we cant get ahold of anyone. Do not buy the Health Master, you will be sorry! Complete waste of money.

greg 8 months ago

This blender works well UNTIL grease starts coming out of it into whatever you are blending. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE

Susan Carter 8 months ago

Robin - I'm glad my review was useful to you. Have a good day.

DON'T waste your money!

I bought a Health Master and the 3 year warranty. So when it died after very little use in 1 year I thought I was covered. BUT it would cost me another $54 or more to get the new one - "shipping & handling". Why throw good money after bad? The new one would be just as cheaply made AND I'd be out even more money.

I've learned my lesson - I'll buy locally from a reliable company!

I purchased the Health Master from the informercial about 8 mos ago and didn't use it until 4 months ago. It worked quite well and our family was getting into the routine of fresh green juices. It worked well for two months and then the motor just frekking died! The lights come on but that's all. I didn't purchase the warranty so I'm SOL. It's another inferior product mass produced in China. I should have purchased a Vitamix like I started to.

BUYER BEWARE OF THE MONTEL HEALTHMASTER.

leah davis 8 months ago

Thank You for posting this information. You have saved me several hundred dollars and a big LOUD headache too. Buyer beware for sure. I almost brought a health master from the infomercial.

tony b 7 months ago

I work for a retailer that is offering the. Health master on clearance for 129.99 . Then I also have a 20% discount on top of it... should I get the health master?

Susan Carter 7 months ago

tony b - I personally would not recommend wasting your money on the Health Master. I base this on my personal experience as well as all the negative comments posted in this HubPage. However, there are a number of people who are satisfied with their purchase so it is up to you to make the decision. You might want to think about the fact that Montel is no longer promoting the product on TV. If it was such a great juicer, I doubt he would have stopped trying to sell it. He has moved on to other things so I think that is a big clue for you.

T.J. 7 months ago

Aside from the grapefruit was it able to juice other vegetables more effectively? Was there and enormous amount of pulp in EVERY drink u made? Did you make multiple drinks with it or just the grapefruit drink? I currently own a Breville BJE200XL Juicer and my major concern with a traditional juicer is all the fiber (pulp) that's wasted when juicing. You get vital nutrients but now all that the fruit/vegetable has to offer. I guess i'm just wondering if it was a TOLERABLE amount of pulp considering all the other health benefits of eating the entire fruit/vegetable? Thx and hope u can answer.

Susan Carter 6 months ago

T.J. - I tried a couple different items when I was testing the Health Master, and they all came out very thick. The end result was nothing that you could really drink because it was so thick. It was even too thick to use a straw - so you could not call it "juice". I had to use a spoon to eat it. Hope this answers your question.

john 6 months ago

total junk! like others have said, it leaks grease from the blender bottom and the bearing then goes out. $50 for a new one. the machine is a rip off piece of crap and montel williams needs to be sued for selling crap. hes a piece of slime.

Juicerman 6 months ago

Is your problem with the juicer that it leaves a lot of pulp? Where did you think the pulp would go? Remember the majority of fiber and nutrients are in the pulp produced.

howieS 6 months ago

I received my HealthMaster and from the box the overheat switch kept kicking out.I returned it for an exchange and the new one I have used maybe 5 times and the overheat kicks out but not as soon or often.

I used it a couple weeks ago and it was about the same but it worked.

Today I turned it on and NOTHING the lights come on but nobody is home.

I am so very disappointed with this machine and especially Mr Williams for pushing this piece of junk.

I want a refund but it is probably too late, BTW none of my friends will be buying one in the near future

Susan Carter 6 months ago

juicerman - I know the value of pulp and you're right there is a lot of nutrition in it. However, when I buy a product that claims to be a 'juicer' I expect to be able to "drink" the juice, not have to eat it with a spoon like a chunky smoothie.

Maurice H. 6 months ago

I just bought My Montell Williams blender a few moths ago and it started leaking oil around the bottom blender container. I ignored it until I started seeing that my smoothie had leaked out the bottom and was mixed in with the thick black oil. What this means to me is that, if the smoothie is leaking out the bottom, the oil has to be seeping in and is being mixed in with my smoothie. I have since returned it to Maceys and they shipped me out a new one -no questions asked. If I had know others were having this problem, I would not have ordered it. I will use it and hopefully I do not experience that problem again.

Maurice H. 6 months ago

I just want to add a few more comments. Other than the issues that I have had with the blender leaking oil, the Montel Williams blender is a great blender. I mostly make fruit smoothies because that are more liquid and drinkable with no annoying pulp (although it is there). My biggest drawback (personal) with it is that the veggie smoothies are too thick with pulp and smells like backyard grass. So, I need to find me a good combination of vegetables to mix. I am thinking that I may go with 3 parts fruit and 1 part vegetable for my smoothies. This combo should alow me to drink my vegetables (like jiuce) without feeling like I am swallowing wet saw dust.

I paid over $200.00 for my Healthmaster blender. I used it regularly for approximately two months. I was happy with the results until the machine started to leak oil, then shortly after that, motor stopped working. In my opinion, the unit is poorly made, it's bulky, as well as noisy. My suggestions to anyone considering buying this blender, is to read the reviews. I wished I had, before I purchased it. If I want to get a replacement motor, I have to pay the shipping/handling cost of $29.99. I'm not confident in doing that, it may be a refurbished motor that will have problems in the future. Be wise, before you buy!

Patrice 5 months ago

If you are promoting a juicer over a product like the Health Master I think you may have missed the point. The Health Master is not a juicer. The whole point is that you're really missing out on a huge portion of the nutrition if you are only drinking the juice. If you use the Health Master, or any other type of super-blender that does the same thing, you are getting the entire food, not just the juice. Hopefully you agree that eating an apple is healthier than drinking apple juice. Sounds like you needed to experiment with finding the right consistency, not encourage others to just buy a less healthy, product (a juicer).

Emily 5 months ago

I work at kohls and we have the Healthmaster on sale for 60 bucks, and I can get half off. I see the reviews arene't too good, but do you think it would be worth thirty bucks?

Susan Carter 5 months ago

Emily - The choice is yours whether or not you should spend the $30. I would check to make sure you can return it without any hassles or re-stocking fee before you make the purchase. Good luck.

Susan Carter 5 months ago

Patrice - I definitely agree that eating an apple is better than drinking apple juice, however, I don't agree with your comment that I am encouraging others to buy a less healthy product like a juicer. I bought the Health Master because it is promoted as “being a juicer". Considering the really poor quality of Montel's product, I think a good juicer is a better alternative than a piece of garbage like the Health Master.

I want people to be happy with what they buy, not be scammed by false advertising and waste their money on replacement parts and shipping just to end up broke and no closer to getting healthier. I truly believe juicing is a great way to improve your health. But each person has their own opinion so that is the reason I approved your post so that others can read that there are two sides to every opinion.

Emily 5 months ago

Despite the bad reviews, I bought the Healthmaster because I could get it so cheap. So far I like it, but I haven't made anything but smoothies. Luckily for me I work at Tropical Smoothie so I know the best settings and such. I deff. think it was worth the money I spent, but I would not pay full price by any means. Another thing, why did they make it so big? It takes up half my counter!!

kori 5 months ago

I have a Magic Bullet and I would rather use that especially what all you get with it.

Mojarrett 5 months ago

I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased the Juice Master. I have had to replace the motor (it died) and the picture three times because of black liquid shooting out of the bottom of it. At this very moment I am waiting for the picture which is a back ordered. I would not recommend this juicer to anyone.

Dolph 5 months ago

I wish I would have read this before I bought it. I bought the machine and on the first try with ONLY CARROTS... It caught on fire and the smell in house was horrible for 3 days! I trusted Montel... I can NOT believe he is promoting such a bad product and making it seem like it's a "real" show and having that "psychic" in the show... really? REALLY? and the stupid kid drinking the green drink... really? OMG what a joke of a product!

Thanks!

I bought the Healthmaster in Dec 2010. In Oct 2010 the pitcher gears stripped out. I called the factory and was told for $50 plus shipping they would send another pitcher. Nothing extremely hard like concrete was ever put in the unit. I could have purchased a Vitamix for an additional $150 and if i have to keep replacing faulty mechanism pitchers this unit going cost as much as.Vitamix. Wish i could have gotten ahold of Montel and advised him of poor pitcher quality.

Please do not pruchase this product. I bought the HealthMaster 2/2011 and for the first 6 months, no problem. Around the 7th month I noticed that it began leaking a lot of grease on top of the base of the componet. A few days ago, somehow, someway, tiny pieces of styrofoam-YES-STYROFOAM- began appearing in my drinks. The first time this happened I thought, this is weird-perhaps somehow, someway, there was styrofoam in the vegetables I purchased. I knew all along that this wasn't really the case. After this happened on two separate occasions I know that this blender was not fit for preparing anything for human consumption. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR HELATH!! DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!!

I am not pleased with this product or the company itself. I tried to purchase this product online several times. Each time however, I was charged the full price but my order did not go through. Customer service was not the least bit sympathetic or helpful in helping me get my money back or in successfully ordering the Healthmaster. What a disappointment.

I live in Canada. When I ordered the health Master, I enquired about all the fees. They mentioned the shipping fee of 29.99 and also that Canada takes a Surcharge fee of 15.00. When the Health Master arrived UPS tried to collect another $59.99. If I knew about this extra C.O.D of $59.99, I would have never purchased it, because it feels like I'm being ripped off. The Health Master was $200, but I upgraded it to the Elite for $239.92. And having to pay an extra $105 just to get it to my home so I could be on the road to health made me upset, so I told UPS to send it back....Fisal....

My elderly mom loves this blender. The motor did stop working on the first one, but she called up and they sent her another one. She did say she poured on the "old lady charm" to get them to do that, though... She bought one for me now, but I don't know after these reviews what to think. I am most concerned because I hope the canister doesn't contain BPA -- does anyone know? Thanks, coumar

If you buy the health master as a juicer alone then yes you will be disappointed! This product is well worth the money. It is much healthier to get the pulp and meat of your veggies and fruits versus yoyr juiciers you only get the liquid and loose alot of nutrients! The vita mix can run you over $500. The only thing I was disappointed on was the shortage of veggie smoothie recipes, the infamercials led you to believe you would get more. But I love the HealthMaster!

Janice Dinse 3 months ago

I bought this machine and it burned up the second time I used it. And I only made a smoothie. I smelled rubber burning kind of smell, the blades quit turning and when i took off the pitcher part, there was black goo there. For over $200 I thought I could even mix cement with this thing, but now I have a really expensive door stop. Boy am I never going to buy from an Infomercial again. I don't have that kind of money to spend or waste and a waste it was. Wish I had done research before I ever bought it.

Michael 2 months ago

I bought a HealthMaster machine and I can say, save your money. Although it is a powerful machine, it is nothing more than a blender. I thought I was buying something that would make great juices, but it is only a blender, a blender that leaves a very foul taste in all recipes. Very disappointed and I will be sending mine back!

Mitch 2 months ago

I bought my HM in July 2010. It started leaking grease after 15 or so uses. I stopped using it for a few months, started again and it was still leaking. I sent it back, got a new one, let it sit in the box for a few more months. The second one started leaking grease and juice after 15 or so uses again. This 'blender' is awful. I wonder if the grease is getting into the smoothies I drink? DO NOT BUY!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lee 2 months ago

Wow. A lot or bad reviews for sure. I probably wouldn't have bought mine if I found this review site earlier.

I've used mine 3 times so far. The first was terrible. Turned out like warm, baby food. The second was a little better.

But, the third... was awesome!

2 apples - 2 carrots - 2 pieces of celery - 15 spinach leaves - 20 purple grapes... and... ice!

I start by blending the ice, then I added in the rest of the ingredients. At the end I add in a bit more ice.

Though it's not quite like a juice, its consistency is WAY better for drinking purposes.

If the construction holds up... it's one of the best investments I've ever made.

I love the fact that it doesn't take out a lot of the nutrients that your typical juicer does. And, the clean up... simply heaven!

That's the main reason I hated using my other juicer. It was messy and time consuming.

I cross my fingers I didn't get a "lemon". Because I'll be using this sucker every morning.

Sharon 2 months ago

Thank you EVERYONE! After seeing Montel on Piers Morgan last night I was thinking I wanted the juicer. So glad I found this blog because all I really want to know now is what it was besides the fruit/veg combo drinks what the omega drink was he had. NO way am I buying the juicer!!

I bought this Health Master and loved it until there was black goop coming out of the bottom. I read up on some reviews and found out that this is common and you need to spend $50 and buy a new pitcher when this happens. I had mine for a year and it started this. I would think that this should not happen.

Dear Montel,

Like most of America I have been a fan of your for years. When faced with recurring cancer at the age of 30, I looked to improve my health with nutrition. When faced with the task of trying to afford a Vitamix, I was so pleased to visit a local Target store and see that your company was offering a similar product that promised to be just as good.

The Healthmaster was great at first. However it seems that I ended up with a lemon. It spit oil, the ball bearings fell out, then finally it started leaking my smoothies. I have called customer service various times for help- as I depend on this machine and use it every day for the nutritional part of my cancer treatment. Finally, though almost read to throw in the towel on your product all together, I was convinced by your customer service department to send in a check for $29.99 and the machine to the warehouse to be fixed. I sent it on December 12th, 2011. The shipping cost me $43.11.

Today is March 21, 2012. I do NOT have my Healthmaster back yet. I have called three times since I sent the machine. Today I called again. I eventually was transferred to a gentleman by the name of Fransisco, who was the first person In the last year of phone calls that was helpful. He promised me that my new machine would arrive within 7-10 days. He is upgrading my machine to the elite version.

I am writing because I respect you and the wonderful work you do with your MS Foundation. This tells me you are a good person with a heart, particularly for people who have been dealt a difficult hand in life. After shipping and the fee I had to send with the machine to have it fixed, I am into the Healthmaster for $273.09. The machine being sent to me is worth $239.92. After all of this headache and stress on top of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant- your company comes out $33.17 ahead. Does that seem right?

Please hold yourself to the standard that I believe you have. Please make sure I am sent my machine. Please send me a refund of $33.17. I feel like it is the least your company could do to live up to your reputation.

Thank you,

Karin

Karin - I am very happy to know that you have been able to survive cancer - 3 times. That is quite a feat. I want to clarify that I am NOT Montel Williams. I am only a person that purchased his Health Master. I realized I should have done my research before I bought it, but since I didn't it cost me both postage and wasted time. I've learned my lesson, though. I would recommend that you keep trying to get your refund from his company. Sometimes it takes a lot of work to get action taken but, if you win, it is worth the effort. Good luck!

I ordered my Breville Juicer through Zappos. The juicer was delivered in 2 days, AND delivery was FREE! Return delivery is also FREE although I haven't had to return it because I love using it. It's quiet, easy to clean, and gives me JUICE, not baby food. The Breville company also gives you recipes for using the pulp, and I've found many recipes on line as well. I almost ordered the HealthMaster from Montel Williams, but thankfully checked out reviews first on the web, and chose Breville. Thanks, Susan, for this review!

I ordered the health master last night on a Friday

Foolishly,I did not search for reviews prior to ordering it

the order was taken by an actual person not a machine BUT she was rude and pushy

That should have been a warning ,not to proceed

I tried to cancel this morning but they are closed until monday

i expected a smoothy type of drink BUT the disturbing aspect is "LEAKING OIL" and "BURNING UP"

I don't want to spend $300 on some NOISY GIGANTIC blender that is unreliable, shoddy and a hassle in so many ways. Therefore I plan to cancel it on my credit card and then cancel the order

I wish I would have read the reviews first before i was suckered

I should have realized that phony Sylvia was a HUGE RED FLAG and I think MW is as con man now having read all these reviews

Susan Carter 7 weeks ago

Aprilshowers52 - I'm glad you didn't buy the Health Master and chose the Breville instead. I believe it's a great juicer and I appreciate your personal review. If anyone is interested in learning more about the Breville they can get more info on www.Breville800.com.

Susan Carter 7 weeks ago

Greg - I would just keep calling them every day until you get a supervisor who can get the refund process going. I'm sure this has been a nightmare for you. You're talking about a lot of money they took from you so it's worth the daily phone call. Good luck.

I would think that if you used a charge card to purchase you would be able to stop payment.. if the ordering process is not satisfactory, and you are unable to cancel it out any other way.. So glad i read all this before purchase.. nothing is worth that much fuss and ado.

I would highly recommend purchasing any juicer by Breville. I bought the one that cost about $200 and I got it on sale for about $150. It actually "juices", removing the nutrients that juicing is all about. All juicers produce a great amount of pulp so if you're into gardening, this is awesome compost....

Michelle 6 weeks ago

Hi Susan, Can you tell me if you know if the the Elite is any better? I know the original one is terrible, and that it is going to make baby food rather than juicing. I had just purchased the Jack La Lane juicer and it worked perfect for 7 days, then completely froze. I need a replacement juicer as I lost 5 pounds in 5 days and felt wonderful. I was eating and juicing. But it was really juicing, not pureying baby food (is that the word?). Thanks!

I actually ended up purchasing the Elite Professional yesterday and was dumb and did the research afterwards. I had walked away, not liking what I was hearing when I went to place the order. They called back 2 times and took $60 off the Elite Pro, convincing me to make the purchase. They are now offering $29.99 if I call back and let them know that I'm happy with it in the next 60 days. Guess they are seeking a thumbs up and this money will void me being able to return it. WOW....what is up with them? So Again, my question is your knowledge of the Elite Pro and how it works? Thanks! Michelle

Dawn 6 weeks ago

I wish I had researched this product before I bought it.

This is by far the worst product that I've gotten in a long time. I even reported them to the Better Business Bureau. First of all, the commercial says 60-day money back guarantee - no questions asked. That is not true. I called customer service to return it because of several issues.

The first issue was that Montel says that it will emulsify an entire apple without cutting or coring. It does not. I followed the instructions on the DVD and in the book with putting the right amount of liquid to solid ratio. It chewed up one small part of it and left the rest of the apple floating at the top. I used the tamper to try to push it down like the instructions say and the machine turned off. They also don't tell you that it will overheat and shut off in the commercial either. You then have to wait 15-45 minutes for it to "cool off." This defeats the purpose of making a smoothie because it is melted by the time the machine is ready to turn back on.

I tried to make the "delicious hot soup" but it made disgusting, luke warm chunky concoction that I would not call soup. It looked more like compost, even with the right amount of liquid. What a waste of vegetables and ingredients.

It is also so loud that you would think a helicopter is taking off in your kitchen. If you have small animals or children, this will definitely scare them. It made my ears ring for a few minutes after using it, I had to leave the room because I couldn't take the noise.

The recipe book also touts that it is "healthy" but calls for the addition of fructose in most of the smoothies. Fructose is not a healthy ingredient and should not be given to children by any means.

When I tried to return the product and told them that it was defective and didn't do what was advertised, customer service said that it could only be considered defective if it doesn't turn on. I argued that it was defective because it did not work as advertised and did not emulsify an apple. She said no and that I would have to pay for both the shipping cost for it to come to me and pay to ship it back. They charged me $29.99 to ship it and they couldn't pay to take back their defective equipment? Now I will have to pay for shipping there and shipping back for an item where they flat out lied.

I'm so disappointed in the machine, customer service, and Montel for endorsing such a horrible product. I used to watch Montel's show and trusted his endorsement, what a mistake. I learned my lesson. Please learn from my mistake and do not, under any circumstances, buy this product. Don't be fooled by the infommercial, the only thing you are going to lose is money. My cheap blender from Walmart does a better job. At least from Walmart you can return defective items and they are cheap enough to just buy a new one if it breaks.

Susan Carter 6 weeks ago

Michelle - I'm not sure who you purchased your Breville from, but it sounds like you bought it directly from the manufacturer and their "sales" staff may be a little pushy. If you will go to my website (www.Breville800.com), you can read about the positive points of the Breville 800 JEXL Elite and you can click through the links on the website to view the satisfaction ratings this juicer is getting from actual Amazon customers.

The Amazon ratings are high for this product: Out of 680 there were 523 with 5 star and 87 with 4 star. That translates to 89% of all the ratings were 4 or 5 star.

You can also see on the website a great video of a happy customer who uses this juicer extensively and a Breville demonstration video showing how easy it is to use. I hope you are very happy with your new purchase.

Thank you so much Susan. You covered exactly the point of why I would want this product. And, that is to get a full fledged JUICER/emulisifier to JUICE the entire fruit/veg to a juice-not think shake you eat with a spoon. I do already have a juices but, does eliminate the pulp. This is very valuable info. It's too bad it doesn't do what the video shows. Darn!!! I guess if it seems too good to be true...It usually isn't. I REALLY appreciate your comments very, very much!!!

Today is Sunday 4/22/12

I just saw an info ad for the Health Master on Fox. I had seen it before in months and years past and thought this machine would be the bomb for eating really healthy.

After seeing the infomercial again I thought I would go ahead and order it. Lucky for me, I usually look at some kind of reviews.

I have Consumers Report service on line but haven't looked up this product yet.

However, after reading the reviews on this blog I don't think I need to look any further.

Just want all of you to know Montel is still pushing this product and anyone that pushes rip off pay day loans for 400% interest can't be trusted in my book.

Didn't this man save any money from so many years with his own show that now he has to promote junk like this?

What a sad commentary on his part, but much sadder for all of you stuck with an expensive piece of junk.

It has been said for many years that you cant pay to much for an excellent product and to little for a lousy one.

Thanks so much for steering me away from this money pit.

I wish I would have visited this site before I ordered. I returned this product a while back before the end of the 60 day trial. Even after return, the company billed my credit card for another payment. My refund has been pending since April 9. It was supposed to take no longer than 5 business days. It's already been 10 business days. When I call, all I get is my refund is pending with no reasonable answers.

I have had my health master since October. It is great and worth every penny spent on it. I have numerous family and friends who have purchased also. With the same positive experience.

Smoothies are excellent and only limited by your imagination. Soups were to hot to eat. The only time it would not run, I had not completely closed the lid. The easy of cleaning is great.

If you just want juice get a juicer. I, personally, like the pulp in my drink. If water or ice is added to diluted for a thinner consistency it helps fulfill your daily water intake and does not distract from the great taste of the drink made.

John - Excellent comment on your part. Montel is pushing products that are rip offs for all consumers and I don't know how he can do this with a clear conscience. He seems to be an intelligent man, so I know that he is aware these products are bad. I don't understand how he can still promote them. I guess it's all about the money. That's so sad.

Susan Carter 9 days ago

Johnny5 - I would be very leary of buying "demo" juicers. For $100 it sounds like he wants to just unload them on some unsuspecting buyer. If you are satisfied with your expensive Vitamix then why buy a product (even if it's a good deal) that is known to have a history of breaking down?

Adam 9 days ago

Susan, Your review reads that your are more upset about the return process than how the heath-master preformed. Obviously, if we haven't all learned this the hard way, if you see it in an info"mercial", it's probably not a good product. I appreciate your review and the time you took to warn all of us. I won't be purchasing one.

2-8-10 I bought my 1st blender. I am now on my 3rd model. The motor does not work I had burning wires in my 1st one. I was told it was a plastic wrapped around the motor and the smell would go away. It did not. My 2 nd blender just quit. Now my 3rd blender is dripping black oily residue on the base and it says not to take the blades apart. I am not a happy user.

What shall I do? The company claims I have received my 'machine' according to Fed Ex tracking but I have not.

My credit card company has put a dispute on the charge. I have encountered hostility and been called all but a liar by company reps. I think I may be lucky it never arrived but is it upon me to somehow prove this? I do NOT want a replacement and I would like my $ refunded to my credit card. I regretted ordering almost immediately after ordering and tried unsuccessfully to stop the order...but apparently it already was sent. On a Sunday??? So....anyone have an experience with no receipt of this item despite tracking to the contrary?

Susan Carter 4 days ago

Just a suggestion. If the FedEx package required a signature, then they must provide it in order to charge you. If the FedEx was labeled "no signature required" then that is much harder to prove you got it because it could have been stolen off your porch. BUT it also shows that "they" cannot prove you received it either. I would keep persuing the dispute with your credit card company. I would think that they are your best hope in having the charge reversed since they have no proof you received the item. P.S. Next time you order something to be delivered, have it sent "signature required". I wish you luck!

DO NOT PURCHASE this product!!! I even spent more money buying the upgraded model thinking I would have a better blender and I used it once and it sucked and i went to use it the second time and it overheated and by the forth time after waiting forever for it to cool down it won't reset and it is no longer working, I spent extra money on 3 year warranty that I see now I won't get any customer service and I am out over $400 for nothing. My Ninja does a better job than this piece of junk.!!!

Alan Wilson 2 days ago

I agree with your comment on the final result being a lot of foam instead of juice. I purchased one and gave away my Jack LaLanne Power Juicer. I just blended strawberries, blueberries, orange (whole orange peal and all) and a few other fruits this afternoon, poured it out as juice sat it down and a few minutes later it was thick foam not drinkable, but I add water to it and stir and it's fine until finished. I do like being able to put pretty much anything into it with any problem, just the thick foam problem with anything I make. I also don't care for the way it pours out, usually goes over the top edge instead of the spout, but I can deal with it, despite those problems, I am glad I purchased it, a lot less cleanup with this one and no waste.
